About Hackle Lodge

In a world of its own

Hackle Lodge Country Estate is a gracious leisure and business retreat set high on a grand plateau on 500 hectares of pristine nature reserve abundant with game, alpine flora, fauna and bird life with an imposing view of the Mpumalanga escarpment.

Situated within the boundaries of Kloppenheim Country Estate, Hackle Lodge is ideally located near Machadodorp en route to the Kruger National Park and only 2 hours drive from Johannesburg International Airport.

Accommodation

Nothing has been spared in the appointment and detailing of this luxury accommodation, with four spacious suites, all with magnificent views of the highlands. Each spacious suite has underfloor heating, heated towel rails, DSTV, bar fridge, coffee making facilities and picturesque balconies.

Recreation

Outdoor activities include trout fishing at one of the estate’s six dams, horse riding, game viewing, or for the more energetic you can take part in the adventure sports such as archery, clay pigeon shooting, mountain biking or just walking the beautiful hiking trails. 4X4 trails and team-building programmes are also available on request. The Kloppenheim hotel offers a small library and the large colonial furnished lounge with fireplace to relax and unwind, or alternatively you can pamper yourself at the Ginko Wellness Clinic.

Wining & Dining

Kloppenheim Hotel is famous for its exquisite cuisine, which combines local country fair with a cosmopolitan touch from breakfasts served in the enclosed terrace, to a four course dinner in the Three Twigs Dining Lounge. The Three Twigs offer both conference and private dining facilities. For the less adventurous you can eat at the pub restaurant adjacent to the award wining wine cellar.

Hackle Lodge offers the ideal venue for executive team get aways in conjunction with the over all conference, or use hackle lodge for just a romantic getaway.
