Hackle Lodge makes use of Kloppenheim's established kitchen which has a reputation for  outstanding cuisine. The well–appointed kitchen is fast making a  name  for its gourmet delights. The menus, although seasonal driven  with a  mixture of international influences, still retain a strong  emphasis on  traditional dishes.

Breakfast, which is served in the enclosed terrace overlooking  breathtaking views, is a sumptuous affair with loads of local fruit,  homemade marinated granola, on-site baked goodies, whiskey oats -  all complimented by a cooked special of the day.

Magnificent Pub

Lunch is served from the downstairs pub and concentrates on light but hearty meals, with trout dishes and the homemade spring rolls being among the favourites.

The Three Twigs

Dinner is a glamorous four-course affair, where guests are spoilt with a feast of flavours and a treat of tastes in Hackle Lodge 60-seater formal dining room – The Three Twigs. It’s an unforgettable experience! For more private functions, enjoy the tranquillity of the private dining room. Meals are prepared in the most modern, well-equipped kitchen that can serve up to 200 meals at one sitting.

Wine Cellar

The wine cellar is the Estate’s Aladdin’s Cave - filled with local and imported magic! Designed along the lines of the traditional vinoteque, it has the capacity for 6000 bottles and stores many of South Africa’s favourites, as well as concentrating on the new boutique estates. It also houses a careful selection of international wines and specialises in bringing you the pride of South Africa’s port industry.
